Know how to avoid your EPF claims rejection

Around 25% of the EPF claim forms are rejected due to various reasons. Therefore ensure to complete the required documentation.

Ensure that your name is printed on cancelled cheque or photocopy of bank passbook is attested either by the Bank officer or by the Employer 

In case the member submits passbook, it should be attested either by the employer or by the issuing bank authorities

Ensure to submit Pan card/ Form 15-G. For financial transactions member KYC is required to be completed. The KYC include seeding of Aadhaar, Pan card & Bank Account.

In case member has already availed advance for permissible times, then his claim will be rejected, so check that before applying.

A member may have multiple PF account, therefore before applying he should confirm if he has not withdrawn money from that particular account

The member should check his details like Name, Date of Birth, Father’s name etc. through EPF e-SEWA portal and if correct then only should file claim. Most of the claims are rejected for this reason.
